U18AA (JrLakersU18AA2627@nbgha.com) - CHRIS KENDRICK 

Chris brings over 30 years of coaching experience and nearly 15 years with the North Bay & District Girls Hockey Association as both a coach and executive member. A proud hockey dad of three, Chris combines his extensive background in minor and high school hockey with a 27-year career in Child Welfare and Youth Justice to create a positive, balanced, and player-focused environment.

Passionate about skill development, personal growth, and pushing athletes to excel, Chris is committed to helping players reach the next level while continuing to grow the female game. We’re thrilled to have his leadership guiding our U18AA High Performance Program!

U18 TIER 2 (U18T2JrLakers2627@nbgha.com) - TYLER BUSH

Tyler has spent the past five years with the NBDGHA program, serving in multiple roles as both a Head Coach and as Assistant Coach in the U11 to U15 levels. He spent his most recent season as an assistant coach with the Tier 1 U13 and U15 teams. He is committed to fostering a positive, high-tempo, and engaging environment that supports player development. As a coach, Tyler aims to prepare athletes to reach the next level, while building well rounded hockey players and teammates by promoting a strong work ethic, dedication to goal setting, and a respect for the game.

U18 TIER 3 - PAUL COURVILLE

With three kids in the NBDGHA, Paul is always looking to provide time and support for those teams. Since 2019, Paul has been involved in coaching at some capacity on many different levels and age groups.

Paul was a Head Coach when the U9 Development Program was being implemented at the House League level, he has been an Assistant Coach on many teams, is a Level 2 Goalie Coach, helped the U11B team that won the OWHL Southern title, and was even a Manager of a U9B team. Most recently, Paul has been Head Coach of the U18B program for the past two years and is honoured to be selected to Coach at the U18 level again this year.

U15 TIER 1 (U15T1JrLakers2627@nbgha.com) - MARK LUCENTI

Mark brings a competitive coaching background to the North Bay & District Girls Hockey Association. Mark has been a coach with the association since 2018 and has coached at various levels and held various roles over the past 8 seasons.

Mark’s coaching philosophy includes instilling each player to continue to love the game of hockey, develop hockey related skills, be a great teammate and to create lifelong friendships and memories.

U15 TIER 2 (U15-2jrlakers2627@nbgha.com) - KYLE BOURQUE

Kyle brings 15 plus years of experience coaching female athletes, including 7 season in girls hockey in both head and assistant coaching roles.

Kyle’s coaching philosophy is built on the belief that every player wants to improve, and that growth happens best in a positive, supportive, and structured environment. He places a strong emphasis on skill development and helping players understand the game, so they can build confidence and make better decisions on the ice.

Kyle is committed to creating a team culture that values effort, respect, and accountability, while ensuring the game remains enjoyable for the players. His goal is to support each athlete in reaching their potential, not only as a hockey player but as a teammate and individual. He is looking forward to working together with players and families to make this a rewarding and successful season.

U13 TIER 1 (U13T1JrLakers2627@nbgha.com) - GAVIN FUROY

Gavin brings a passion for hockey and a strong commitment to the North Bay & District GHA. Gavin has been a coach within our programs since the 2019/20 season, and has continued to give back to female athletes in the area year after year.

His coaching philosophy is to encourage players with positive reinforcement, he wants each player to feel confident, and appreciated for what they can bring to the team. Most recently, Gavin served as our U11A Head Coach where they brought home an OWHA Provincial Bronze Medal.

U13 TIER 2 (U13T2JrLakers2627@nbgha.com) - KEVIN DUGAS

Kevin brings a lifelong passion for hockey and a strong commitment to developing female athletes both on and off the ice. He grew up playing minor hockey in North Bay, followed by a season with the Scollard Hall Bears.

With several years of coaching experience at the competitive minor hockey level, Kevin has served in both assistant and head coaching roles with the North Bay & District Girls Hockey Association. His experience includes leading teams, supporting athlete growth, and creating positive, structured environments where players can thrive.

Kevin’s coaching philosophy aligns with the Hockey Canada Guidelines for Player Development. His focus is on skill development, hockey IQ, resilience through adversity, personal accountability, and teamwork. He is especially passionate about girls’ hockey and believes the sport plays a vital role in building confidence, leadership, and life skills that extend far beyond the rink.

U11 TIER 1 (U11T1JrLakers2627@nbgha.com) - BRODIE BEARD

Brodie brings a high-performance hockey background and a strong commitment to player development. A former OHL, university, and minor pro player, Brodie has coached at the AAA, USports, U7, U9 and U11 levels, focusing on developing players at the grassroots level.

In his spare time, Brodie enjoys providing on-ice skill development to young players. Brodie is driven to bring high-performance hockey to North Bay, he emphasizes player development, accountability, and strong team culture to help athletes reach their full potential.

U11 TIER 2 - JENNIFER RODGERS

Jennifer Rodgers is grateful for the opportunity to lead the U11 Tier 2 team and share her passion for hockey with the next generation of female players. She played at the AA level and has remained closely connected to the game in various capacities. In the last few years, coaching has been her focus. She has been involved with the Jr. Lakers U9 and U11 teams, during the 2025/26 season she served as an Assistant Coach on the U9B team.

Jennifer is committed to development. She has completed a High Performance Coaching Certification and continues to study mental performance, bringing those tools to the team.

This season, she is excited to develop confident athletes, support the growth of female hockey, and create an environment where girls learn to compete and love the game.

We’re excited to welcome Alexis Lemmex as our U9B Head Coach for the 2026-2027 season!

A former CIS player with St. Francis Xavier University Athletics, Alexis brings a wealth of experience both on and off the ice. With a background in adapted physical activity and experience in high-performance sport and teams (including work connected to the Commonwealth Games), she knows how to help young athletes grow and succeed.

Now in her 4th season coaching U9, Alexis is passionate about creating a fun,  competitive, positive environment where kids can build confidence, learn the game, and love coming to the rink. Her focus? Growth mindset, teamwork, respect, and developing strong foundational skills.
